Old Dominion Humane Society (ODHS) will supply the hearts and cupids—adorable rescue dogs—when they take center stage during events in February. Puppy yoga, weekly hikes with the dogs (the public is invited) and adoption events provide opportunities to exercise and socialize for both humans and canines.

Meet other dog lovers at the adoption center to take a trek on a local trail on Sundays at 8:45 a.m. Volunteers will match guests with furry partners for some fresh air and exercise. Guests will take the dogs to the trails in their cars, and crates are available at ODHS.

Location: Old Dominion Humane Society is located at 3602 Lafayette Boulevard, Fredericksburg, Va., 22408.

Lively and affectionate with a big personality, Hattie loves the outdoors. She’s playful, friendly with people, gets along well with other dogs and enjoys her toys. Hattie is crate trained, has excellent potty manners and in search of a forever home. Visit Hattie and other available dogs at Old Dominion Humane Society (ODHS) during adoption events, as well as during activities planned at ODHS in February. For more information about the dogs available for adoption and adoption surveys, as well as upcoming events, volunteering, fostering and donating items, visit https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org.

It’ll be a tail-wagging good time during Puppy Yoga at ODHS. Start with a 30-minute cuddle session with the pups from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Next is a yoga session from 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Mingle with puppies, exercise and socialize during the session. All ages are welcome, so children can join the fun, too. The price per participant is $20. Only 20 spots are available, and participants must preregister for the event at https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org/puppy-yoga.
