Skip shopping for treats, filling Easter eggs and hiding the goodies, and let the Old Dominion Humane Society (ODHS) “bunnies brigade” handle the work with “Egg My Yard.” The treats will be delivered and hidden at participants’ addresses on Saturday, April 4. Opt for 20 or 40 prefilled eggs with a donation of $1 per egg. Eggs are stuffed with tasty candy for the kids or that special person and dog treats for a favorite four-legged friend.

Lively and affectionate, Pirate is a female Boston Terrier who’s 10 years old, only 18 pounds and has one eye. Pirate has impeccable potty manners, sleeps soundly through the night and does well in the crate. While she’s labeled a senior, it doesn’t slow her down--her youthful energy defies age. She’s people-oriented, loving to be a part of the family. Visit Pirate and other available dogs at Old Dominion Humane Society (ODHS) during adoption events and activities planned throughout the year. Help the rescue dogs at ODHS by participating in activities, including the “Egg My Yard” fundraiser, on April 4. “This is the third annual ‘Egg My Yard,’ and it’s a great way to support the rescue dogs at ODHS,” said Chrissy Hamilton, ODHS founder. “The volunteers will take care of preparing the eggs and hiding them, so the family can enjoy the fun. Of course, we didn’t want to leave out the dogs in the family and made sure there’s an option for them to join in with eggs filled with treats.”

“Egg My Yard” is offered to participants in the zip codes 22401, 22406, 22407 and 22408. Learn more about the fundraiser at https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org/egg-my-yard. Sign up by Wednesday, April 1 to have eggs hidden in your backyard on April 4 at https://givebutter.com/ODHSeggmyyard. Don’t wait to get on the Easter Bunny’s route and enjoy a hassle-free egg hunt while helping the rescue dogs.
