Robert Hevelow, a resident at Carriage Hill Health & Rehab Center in Fredericksburg, enjoys a visit from Debra Kenny, an Old Dominion Humane Society (ODHS) volunteer, and Flea Biscuit, one of the adorable rescue dogs, on April 15. The visit is part of the “Cuddle Club” program, where ODHS volunteers bring dogs to greet residents at rehabilitation centers and nursing homes. Hevelow, who loves animals, grew up with them. Flea Biscuit is available for adoption. For more photos and information about Flea Biscuit, visit www.olddominionhumanesociety.org.

Nuuk, a Yorkie mix who weighs 15 pounds, cuddles up with Rober Hevelow, a resident at Carriage Hill Health & Rehab Center in Fredericksburg. Nuuk is one of the rescue dogs from Old Dominion Humane Society (ODHS) who visited the center as part of the nonprofit organization’s “Cuddle Club” program. Volunteers accompany the dogs to rehabilitation centers and nursing homes to bring smiles to the residents’ faces. Nuuk was the perfect choice for a visit, because he’s playful, affectionate and an all-around happy pup.
