Events With Old Dominion Humane Society’s Rescue Dogs Heat Up In July

They’re out and about taking strolls, hiking the trails, meeting the public at breweries and cuddling at yoga sessions in July. The Old Dominion Humane Society (ODHS) rescues will be looking for their adopters during events, and the community is invited to join in the outings with the dogs.
What’s even better is that Saturday Strolls, Sunday Hikes and meet-and-greets with the rescues are free to the public, so come out and make friends with the canines and other dog lovers.
Join ODHS dogs on easy, weekly Saturday Strolls at 7:45 a.m. Meet volunteers at the facility, where they’ll pair a dog with participants and head in a caravan to a different spot each week. The strolls are on flat, simple paths with an indoor backup for wet weather. Don’t miss the chance to get exercise, socialize with fellow dog lovers and give the pups a chance to explore.

Make Sunday Hikes a weekly tradition--hike three-to-five miles paired with a furry buddy and enjoy the fresh air. Meet at ODHS at 7:45 a.m., and volunteers will match participants with rescue dogs. Then, the group will caravan to one of the many beautiful trails in Fredericksburg.

Puppy Yoga—July 10
Get ready to indulge in 30 minutes of puppy cuddles, followed by yoga at the ODHS facility from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. The perfect combination for relaxation, Puppy Yoga costs $20 per person. All proceeds go to ODHS. Save a spot by signing up at Events/Puppy Yoga on the ODHS website.
