The Annual WFLS Jingle Mingle, which includes a sumptuous dinner, entertainment and a Silent Auction, will be held at the Fredericksburg Convention Center on Friday, December 12. The event expects to draw hundreds of guests, who will participate in the Silent Auction to benefit Old
Dominion Humane Society (ODHS), a nonprofit, volunteer-led organization
in Fredericksburg.
Voted “Best Pet Rescue” in the Free Lance-Star’s annual “Best in the Burg” 2025 for the second consecutive year, the no-kill rescue was founded by Chrissy Hamilton in 2013. Since its inception, ODHS has rescued more than 8,000 dogs, many of which have been surrendered, severely neglected, saved from hoarding situations and taken from animal shelters where they would have otherwise been euthanized.
ODHS rescues are provided with veterinarian care for spay/neuter and other medical needs, microchipped, socialized with hikes, strolls and outings, placed in foster homes and, ultimately, matched with forever families. The organization’s focus has always been to save dogs, and Hamilton describes the work that goes into ODHS as a “labor of love throughout the years.” Watching the dogs that come from hoarding, mistreatment and neglect situations blossom each day is rewarding for Hamilton and the volunteers.
ODHS kindly requests your help in raising money to help in its care of the dogs, as well as continuing to rescue more dogs from horrible living conditions and euthanasia. Please help by donating to the Jingle Mingle’s Silent Auction. The proceeds from your donation will go a long way in helping the rescue dogs.
Your donated item(s) will help us save even more lives. For more information about the Jingle Mingle, visit JingleMingleFXBG.com. To learn more about Old Dominion Humane Society and view the rescue dogs that will benefit from your donation, visit Our Dogs on the Old Dominion Humane Society website.
